Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of LLH Tutor, operated by Language Learners Hub ("LLH", "we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.

The service

LLH Tutor is an AI-powered English language tutoring tool. You submit English text, and the service returns explanations of meaning, grammar, tone, and cultural context. The explanations are generated by a large language model (Claude, by Anthropic) and are not guaranteed to be error-free. Use your judgement — if something seems wrong, it may be.

Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

One account per person. Do not share your account or use it on behalf of others.

Acceptable use

You may use LLH Tutor for personal, non-commercial learning purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate content for commercial distribution
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or reverse-engineer the underlying prompts or model responses at scale
• Circumvent usage limits through technical means
• Submit content that is illegal or that violates the rights of others
• Use the service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure

The service is designed to explain real-world English, including informal language, slang, and profanity that learners encounter in daily life. This is intentional. Using the service to explain offensive language for genuine learning purposes is acceptable. Using it to generate harmful content is not.

Subscriptions and billing

Free tier. The free tier allows up to 10 explanations per calendar month at no charge. Limits reset on the 1st of each month.

Paid tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly. You can cancel at any time from the Settings page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

Price changes. We will give 30 days notice of any price increase. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

AI-generated content

Explanations are powered by AI that has been refined and tuned by the LLH team to deliver tutor-quality responses. They are provided for educational purposes, and LLH is not liable for any decisions made based on content produced by the service.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the text you submit. By submitting it you grant LLH a limited licence to process it for the purpose of generating your explanation.

The LLH Tutor interface, branding, and system design are owned by Language Learners Hub. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them.

Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uptime. We may suspend the service temporarily for maintenance. We will do our best to give notice in advance.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LLH is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
